Commonly-claimed conditions for this job
Click any condition for the full deep-dive. "Add" puts it in your Claim List for the Calculator and Generators.
This is a starting point, not a diagnosis. You still need a current medical diagnosis to claim any condition.
Not exhaustive. We cover the most common ~80 codes. Many specialized MOSes are missing; for those, the Symptom Wizard works better.
Branch transfers, civilian jobs, and pre-service work matter too. If you've worked in firefighting, mechanical, or industrial jobs at any point, those exposures stack.
Combat tours add to any MOS. Anyone deployed to qualifying PACT Act locations is eligible for the full PACT Act presumptive list regardless of MOS.
A quick note before you dive in
The VA Claims Hub is not the VA. We're an independent, free education resource built by and for
veterans. Nothing here is legal advice, medical advice, or a substitute for help from an accredited
representative.
Use this site to learn how VA disability claims work, what your options are, and what you might be entitled
to. When you're ready to file or appeal, take that knowledge to a
VA-accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO), attorney, or claims agent — they can review
your specific situation, file on your behalf, and (for attorneys and agents) represent you through appeals.
Rates and rules cited on this site are current as of 2026. VA regulations change. When it matters, verify on
VA.gov or with your representative before relying.
